As a youngster, Don accidently came upon a record by Johnny Winter. Infected with "Blues fever"
he immediately began to play at home on an old electric guitar. Blues at once started to flow
through his veins and various musicians would strongly influence his musical progression,
for example, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Robert Ford. Stevie Ray Vaughn
became the most important inspiration for Don after a live concert in 1982 at the
Festival de Jazz in Montreux. The impact was mind-blowing.
Don P. has been regularly playing concerts since the late 1970s. Throughout the
years he has played blues as well as other genres with various live bands and
in studio recordings.
